It seems everyone hates Youtube here, and with good reason. It's easy for people to take content off of Newgrounds and slap it right on there to rack up pageviews for their own "channels." There was a point where I didn't even want to bother to count how many Metal Gear Awesomes were uploaded on Youtube. It pissed me off because I saw that it was getting millions of views there, but not here on Newgrounds where it was intended to be. Not only that, but most of these submitters were getting the credit for making it. What a joke.
I discovered, however, a very very nice feature Youtube has called the Content Verification Program. Essentially you fax them some information, and bam, you have the power to report and within minutes delete work that has been made by you and wrongfully uploaded by others. Metal Gear Awesome doesn't exist on Youtube anymore unless one has been uploaded in the past hour, and I'm still weeding out the individual Awesome shorts.
However, I came to think about the people who search Youtube and know nothing else. They don't even know what Newgrounds is, or even GOOGLE for that matter, and now that it's gone from Youtube... they have no other source to look to for it. That's why I made this:

A short, simple little message that people find when they search "Metal Gear Awesome" on Youtube. I provide links to the originals and basic information, and a cute little animation to go with it. I don't know how well this will go over as far as serving its purpose, but I'm trying to do what I can to stop this Youtube stealing bullshit.
Did any of you know about this program? What else have you done to stop your videos from being stolen by users on Youtube? This is an issue I know a lot of animators here are concerned about, and I'd like to hear your opinions and ideas on this matter.
Thanks guys!
