Hi everyone! Ego's dad here. I"m on the phone with Ego at the moment and he has asked me to let you all know that he is currently without Internet access (no he's not at home) and isn't sure when it will be back. He has also had big problems with syncing everything up and getting it to look the way he wants it. The digital gods appear to be working against him in getting this out to you today.

Due to this, he has asked me to relay to you that he is officially postponing the release of Metal Gear Awesome 2 until February 23. That date is significant as it is exactly 2 years after the release of the original MGA.

Once again, sorry for the delay, but he does want it to be the best Awesome you've seen. Sorry for keeping everyone up so late and for missing the date. Hopefully, you'll find it worth the wait.

Now I can finally go to bed.

well that's good rather him wait and get all of the bugs worked out of it. poor guy up for 40 hrs straight and now issues with the internet and lip syncing. Hope he doesn't feel like he's letting his fans down. Ego (and ego's dad) just wanted to say we fans appreciate what you've done and where your leading to. Anyways can't wait for the anniversary.

Anyways, hope all is well, I know how it feels man, to await a project like this, and work hard on it, and EVERYTHING that was working perfectly the beginning throughout the middle...and end up jacking up in the ending. Its understandable, and if you need help with anything, you got your fans, including me bud.

postponing the finale was a burden on all of us. i about had a heart attack when i got on newgrounds, hoping to see sons of liberty awsome, but no... if egoraptor will read this, i hope he realizes (but probably doesn't care) that he crushed our Tuesday.

Tell me about it. I was bordering on a heart attack most of the evening. It would have been a lot easier if he was just across the hall from my computer room, where he usually works.... but no, he's hidden away in another part of the state with unreliable internet access.

I can't mail you the password because it's one of those long ones like xZ3by3459n1 that goes on forever. He dictated it to me on the phone. By the time I entered it in, I had forgotten the first half dozen characters. His own web server was much easier. I own it, so I don't need his password.

He better not be stealing my car. His is much nicer, except his air-conditioning is broken.

I'd rather it be in how it was meant in Ego's mind, rather than be of sync, I don't mind the wait. Although I don't think I will be here when it first is posted, I have to travel across the state, but maybe they have free wi-fi ;)

No problemo in fact, its better this way becuase it will be exactly two years apart from Metal Gear Awesome. Dont worry ego as you can see everyone is supporting you, so anyway good luck fix it up good and make us proud

The main reason I called him Ego is because that is in fact the name he uses when he's online here at Newgrounds. Had I said Arin (not Alen) there are probably some who wouldn't know who I was talking about. And it was also easier to identify myself as Ego's dad instead of Elder99, which is my login name here at Newgrounds. And no, we don't call each other Egoraptor and Elder around the house.

This really is nerve-wrecking. I can't begin to imagine what Ego is going through at this point. And his dad... damn, I wish I had a father that awesome. I guess he must be inspiration for the "awesome" movies.
All we can do is give Ego support, and pray that he doesn't overwork himself to death.
