My moms American friend invited us over for a Thanksgiving dinner since we had nothing better to do anyways and he had no one to spend Thanksgiving with over here.

I would say that I find it disappointing you removed any blog aspect to show what you're up to, but I did the exact same thing to my site and I completely get why.
My tumblr took its place, hopefully I'll have more fun posting in that since it's more organized and so far it's been more fun.
