Hey, pretty cool. I really enjoyed the series and all (well most of) the points and jokes hit home and completely made sense. Would love the next one you despite the sequel you choose, though you should try and make it a bit more relevant, I've never played the Castlevania games, my firsts were on the N64.
Dunno if you've played it, but could you contrast Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 1 & 2 with Twin Age? I dislike the Twin Age gameplay and I wish they will go back to the Swordcraft method...

I'm wondering what you'll say about the fact the point system was taken out of Megaman 2 and never mentioned again throughout the entire series.
Also couldn't you redo a level you did at any time in the first megaman?
A lot of weird shit is added and taken out of sequels.
The weirdest one I can think of is Jak and Daxter to Jak 2; which for those of you that never played them(you really should), they added guns, you're in a cyberpunk city versus a magic village, you can steal cars, you work for a crime lord, the silent protagonist starts talking; and other crazy shit that you wouldn't think in a million years would be added or changed all of a sudden.
