LEMONS!!!
sick vid...you're gonna blow us away on the tester :)
Fuck yeah, awesome man! And you should finish Girlchan 4! >:( I wanna know who won the dang contest after, like, a year of waiting!
Awesome. Your cartoons have always been hit and miss for me, but this was amazing entertainment. You should try to pitch this as a series to The Escapist, Penny Arcade or something. It'd fit right in (albeit cut into smaller portions).
I think about this conveyance and tutorialising shit all the time when I'm NOT making games, but when I AM makin games I'm thinkin about... how to not draw like shit, and how to not break everything, and a BUNCH of other stuff!!
so yea, makin games be good is fuckin difficult. You have to give it 100% like-- 4 seperate times.
Don't give me a heartache.
I really liked the layouts, the voicework, and the color selection. However, it wasn't very funny and there was hardly any animation. Speaking of Mega Man, you should check out this guy: http://maelstormm.newgrounds.com
Interesting analysis.
While I agree that games lately have more tutorials and button prompts than necessary, I don't entirely blame them. If we assume the gamer doesn't know anything about games, we need some way to teach them from the beginning.
Back then, the games could be played with just a couple buttons. Now we not only need about a dozen buttons to play, but we also have to know combinations and context sensitive actions. Not only that, but 3D games, far more common now, are very confusing by themselves. A new player often struggles until they get used to controlling the character and the camera at the same time.
And even older people may be beginner players.
Are there good examples of conveyance for 3D games?
Love it! This was one of my favorite child hood games too, but I had it on DOS. I think the music was better, but then again, I can't remember the quality of music too well from past experiences.. It's never the same... YEAH! MEGAMAN! DO IT FOR THE LEMONS!
haha i was one of the first 301 viewers to see that
How were you able to create 20 minutes of pure entertainment? Seriously, Not once did I think about stopping the video short. I LOVED MEGAMAN X
finally i love`it
finally i love`it
You should give shoutouts to Starslayer on the Tester.
megaman x2 is my jam
man you're right this game is fucking amazing i haven't played it since i was a kid popped it back it yea fucking rock hard ITS FUCKING WONDERFUL
If you ARE going to make more of those (I seriosuly liked both of them because of the reasons you hated and liked the game AND because of your jokes), I think you should do one about the pokemon games!
There has been a lot, and I really wanted to know what you thought about it.
ANd I want to see you make jokes about it too XD
ego, try half life 2. go ahead. its got almost every...no, it has every theme upgrade, not specifics, like wall jumping, but it has the movement shit and the perfect ingame tutorials to where you wouldnt even notice them without the little words on your screen telling you to press the x button, and all that shit. go ahead, unless you already have. anyway, these are freakin' unbelievable, as in amazing! realy fun and educational.
Half-life 2 is too new compared to the other games he did... now Pokemon, that's frekin old!
Atlas
Great animation on teh Ninja Sex Party vid.
