GODAMN.

You have no idea how hard I am laughing right now. No fucking idea.

Oh my God. This is the best thing I've ever seen in my entire life.

ImpendingRiot responds:

We're glad you like it, man, we made this with love!

Great job!

I think this is a pretty good piece of flash animation! It's obvious that this is your first flash but there's something to be said for how cohesive it is compared to so many others' first flashes. Keep on animating, and try to work on making the visuals a bit more clean!

KungFu-Gerbil responds:

Its a honour, I honestly appreciate the advice and support it means a lot to me hearing it from one of my flash animating idols. (^^) take care egoraptor, and keep posted

Pretty sweet.

This was pretty enjoyable but it seemed rather cliché. The thing that bugged me most about it was that the gun took out the tree completely while they were trying to axe it to kill it slowly. I'm all for dramatic anticipation but if they could've used the gun to kill the tree that easily, why didn't they in the first place? Because of this I expect The Hyrde to make up things as they go in future episodes, which is something I think completely kills suspense. That gun is way too powerful, and if it takes out ANYTHING, then how am I to fear for the wellbeing of these characters?

This series definitely has potential, visually and conceptually (plus the voice acting is dang decent) but so far I'm at a crossroads. I hope it becomes a great series! :D Good luck!

robfeldman responds:

Thanks for the comment. This is the second mention about the gun, so I thought I should address it. Yes, the gun has TREMENDOUS power, but it does have limitations with regard to the number of times in which it can actually be fired---they got lucky this time 'round. Not seeing the scripts for the future episodes, it is of course expected that you would have no idea about that. Thanks, for the time being, in suspending disbelief. And for the vote. :)

Just great.

I really love your animations. I feel like you have such an overactive imagination and it makes me wish you did some more of your own writing instead of using existing clips; not to say that the animations you do from existing clips aren't really swell, but I just feel like that's more to you than that.

Anyway, it's particularly your facial expressions that make me laugh. They're really over the top and funny in their own right, just how they're drawn. I've always thought that was the sign of a good cartoonist. You also do a good job at keeping it simple, never over-complicating the animation, but at the same time you incorporate all these really different and unorthodox camera angles which is really refreshing considering all the tweened comedy on Newgrounds.

I like you RWappin, then again so do so many others.

RWappin responds:

Thanks. :]

Cool!

That was pretty sweet! I liked this a lot, it was creative and entertaining. Thanks for the plug too! ;D! Time to check out your other stuff!

AllenWAwesome responds:

'tis an honor! I'll plug you any day. wait....eww! :|

Haha.

I actually thought this was pretty funny, but I don't know what that FLCL thing was all about.

Eyebrows, Egoraptor.

Eyebrows.

Surprising.

I say surprising for several reasons.

First of all it's surprising how many negative reviews there are of this movie. No plot = 0? Wow. C'mon, geez.

I've already told you I think this is a great display of animation physics. Weight, momentum, all that stuff, it's pretty stunning. What's surprising to me is that there are flaws in a lot of the animations of the skating in particular. I think the act of skating in real life is really exaggerated and intense looking on its own. I think that instead of making up your own way of skating you should've used references for the skating movements. I think it was the jumping and aerial movements that really made me go "wow," but when the characters were actually skating I didn't feel like there was anything interesting about their movements. They looked very stiff.

Another thing that was surprising was your lack of any plot/character development. I know you're hearing this a lot, and while I think it's a personal preference mostly, I do remember you telling me in-depth character backgrounds and what not which was mega intriguing. Sure, I was excited about seeing your animation progress showcase, but I was really much more interested in seeing you develop this dynamic idea and I was really disappointed to see it in the form of a long winded text-based synopsis. I do have the next episode to look forward to, I'm sure, but I really hope that these deep concepts don't just back up some dazzling faceless display of raw animation skill.

And please, I'm not talking about The YuYu. I never mentioned it, so stop hiding behind it. I could care less about what is in the top 50 or what has a 4.29 rating or some bullshit. I want to see this series kick ass, and I think that your animating ability at your age is damn near prodigy level. Whether at number 1 or dead fucking last, I don't care and neither should you. You should just continue animating and tell your story.

All you do is mock me and all I do is give you support, and it pisses me off sometimes, of course, and there are times when I just fucking hate you, but when you show you have this incredible ability, this raw talent just waiting to be unleashed, it just depresses me to see that you seem to care more about some petty, flawed, biased rating system than your own progress. My point is, I seem to be the only one here who gives a shit about what's really important, about making your creations really fucking shine. I hardly kiss your ass, I do my best to critique your works so that you can improve, I thoroughly listen to your ideas and your stories and am inspired by them, and yet I'm probably the last person you'd want to listen to.

That, to me, is surprising.

And I think with this review I'm through trying to communicate with you and I'm through showing my faith in you. Unless you show me that you can get off your godamn cloud and show some respect to fellow human beings, I really don't want to have anything to do with you anymore.

And maybe you're happy to hear that.

rtil responds:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Woah.

Holy shit guys, this is fucking AWESOME.

Quest over.

Kairace responds:

WOW! THANKS EGORAPTOR! XD No the quest isn't over.

Huargh.

I was a little disappointed by the lack of... knowledge of Mega Man in a movie that was made by someone who supposedly loves Mega Man so much. Mega Man looked like a cross between X and the regular Mega Man and it came out looking like one of those Hong Kong dollar store toy designs or something that oldskateboard company.... Hook Ups or something... made in order to market off of Mega Man's success. If that was intended, then... awesome I guess. But if the aim was to appeal to the Mega Man fanbase then I don't think you did a good job by making Mega Man... not look like Mega Man.

I suppose by the constant references to people who helped make the movie that this was done for shits and giggles, but I didn't giggle once through the movie. The jokes were a little stale and cliché and didn't have anything to do with Mega Man whatsoever, so I don't know why you opted to use them as characters since situationally these characters can't even do half the stuff you made them do. And it wasn't in a "oh that's ironically hilarious" way, it was just in a "oh, fart jokes" way. It wasn't like, say, Spark Man trying to open a door; he doesn't really open doors in the game, it's just funny because it RELATES to his character. Mega Man doesn't eat tacos or shit or anything close to that, so it didn't do anything for me really since it didn't apply to the characters at all.

The farting went on way too long especially since they were the same three fart clips over and over. Maybe if they were varied, kind of building up to a hilarious sounding fart, it would've been worth sitting through all of it, but essentially the novelty that he was farting the Nutcracker wore off really quickly, sorta like how that same joke wore off quickly in Family Guy.

Again, I don't see why you didn't just create your own world and your own characters because it probably would've been funnier and you probably would've felt less limited in the writing because you're developing the characters on your own. But to each his own, I guess?

Eric-S responds:

Hello,

1-For the 1100th time, I used X's armor on Megaman, because I think Megaman looks way too wimpy. (just in case, check episode 2, where I corrected his name to X)

2-Hey, I'm not awesome artist, and I tried drawing megaman without tracing him off a google image! I emphazise on Tried! I've never had a good hold of drawing on a computed with nothing but a line tool and a pencil tool (don't like brush), ad rather than tracing, i try to make the models myself.

3-I pulled this movie out of my ass, what did you expect?! I didn't use a script, (never do), And I just did what nobody had done before.

With my own models, style, and crappy jokes. And hey, apparently I'm improving.

Check out part 2, Even if the models are slowly looking better, they're not going to look JUST like the ones published on the TV shows or games. And believe me I Love megaman, I've played the X series throught my whole childhood.

But, and here's where the logic kicks in, When did I say this was a megaman <Parody>? I never did, even if someone voted for it to be there on the parody section.

I just used the models on an enviroment that just didn't have a thing to do with the real story.

Honestly, I don't like my own movie, the animation/graphics/sound/humor sucked.

But hey, I made it 3 months after I started using flash, what did you expect?, it was something unscripted, made by someone as inmature as I.

I aprecciate you sharp critisism, and that's the only kind of critisism that helps.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me Egos.
